Parkin Company, Dubai’s leading paid public parking provider, has partnered with charge&go, a subsidiary of Etisalat Services Holding (ESH), to accelerate the city’s electric vehicle infrastructure. This 10-year collaboration will introduce 200 ultra-fast direct current (DC) charging stations across the emirate, enhancing accessibility for residents and visitors alike.
Scheduled for launch in October 2025, the new network will reduce EV charging times to under 30 minutes. Strategically located in high-density residential areas, retail destinations, and leisure hubs, the initiative ensures convenience while promoting sustainable urban mobility.
Phased Rollout and Advanced Technology
Phase one will deploy 20 charging stations at key locations, followed by a broader rollout of 200 public and private charging points over the next twelve months. DC charger technology provides significantly faster charging than alternating current (AC) systems. Consequently, customers can enjoy reduced waiting times along with high-quality service.
The ‘park and charge’ service will integrate with Parkin’s mobile application, offering real-time updates and secure in-app payments. Additionally, the network will enforce designated charging bay usage, preventing overstay and unauthorized occupancy.
Driving Sustainable Mobility in Dubai
By combining cutting-edge technology with convenient parking solutions, the Parkin and charge&go initiative advances Dubai’s long-term sustainable development goals. The program aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and supports the growing adoption of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Furthermore, it reinforces the city’s commitment to smart, green, and future-ready mobility services for residents and visitors alike.
