OnePlus Nord 2 OxygenOS 13 beta is now open for testing

The OnePlus Nord 2, a mid-range smartphone launched in 2021, is now receiving the much-awaited OxygenOS 13 update. This latest version of Android brings numerous under-the-hood changes and new features, including an Aquamorphic design language, Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, Dynamic Computing Engine, and more. With the update, users will be able to add large folders to the Home Screen, open an app in a folder with a single tap, and turn pages with ease.

In addition, the OxygenOS 13 update brings new features like a sidebar toolbox, a new feature called “shelf” that can be accessed by swiping down from the home screen, more customization options for always-on display, automatic pixelation for chat screenshots, and eye comfort in “Kids Space”. The update also includes numerous under-the-hood changes, such as the introduction of Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, adaptive system icon colours, improvements to a gaming mode, optimized screencast experience, and more markup tools for screenshot editing.

Moreover, the OxygenOS 13 update on the OnePlus Nord 2 also ports several elements from Oppo’s ColorOS 13, including theme colours based on the Aquamorphic design language, new animations, shadow reflective clock, optimized widget design, and clearer fonts. With these new features and improvements, the OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to offer a more seamless and enhanced user experience.
