Official: UAE Eid Al Fitr Public Holiday Dates Announced

Eid Al Fitr 2025 celebrations in the UAE with festive lights, traditional lanterns, and a crescent moon in the night sky.

With Eid Al Fitr approaching, the UAE has officially confirmed the holiday schedule for the public sector.

Federal government employees will have time off from 1st to 3rd Shawwal 1446 AH, with work resuming on 4th Shawwal. Additionally, if Ramadan lasts for 30 days, the 30th of Ramadan will be designated as a public holiday, effectively extending the Eid break by an extra day.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) issued a circular confirming that the Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal government employees will be observed from 1st to 3rd Shawwal 1446 AH, with work resuming on 4th Shawwal.

The statement further clarified that if Ramadan extends to 30 days, then the 30th of Ramadan will also be considered a public holiday, granting an additional day off for the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
