With a keen focus on sustainability and innovation, the program attracted over 100 applications. Aspiring entrepreneurs from across the MENA region showcased the it’s appetite for change.
Selected ventures embarked on a transformative journey, guided by MIT’s faculty and mentors. Through tailored workshops and curriculum, participants gained invaluable insights into design thinking, business modelling, and pitching skills. This rigorous training equipped them with the tools and confidence needed to navigate the complexities of the startup landscape.
The Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec) provided a nurturing environment for these startups to thrive. From cutting-edge facilities to access to specialised labs, Dtec offered the perfect ecosystem for refining prototypes and fostering collaboration among like-minded innovators. But MDXB is more than just a program—it’s a platform for turning dreams into reality. During the program’s culmination event, startups had the opportunity to showcase their ventures to a panel of esteemed judges and investors. The showstopper of the event was Othalo. It is a pioneering startup focused on affordable housing solutions from recycled plastic. Othalo rose victorious from the programme securing significant funding of $200,000. This success story underscores the program’s ability to translate innovative ideas into impactful solutions with real-world implications.
Beyond the accolades and investments lies a broader mission: to foster a culture of innovation and sustainability across the MENA region.
