Abu Dhabi AI innovation centre launch

MBZUAI and the World Economic Forum are establishing the Abu Dhabi Centre for Intelligent Future. This new centre will support global efforts to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. At the same time, it will strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading hub for AI innovation.

Additionally, the agreement will run for three years and can be renewed. As a result, both sides will continue working together on long-term AI development and international cooperation.

A Platform to Connect Decision-Makers Across Sectors

The centre will join the World Economic Forum’s network of Centres for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In turn, it will bring together decision-makers from government, the private sector, civil society, and academia. Through this collaboration, they will design and implement initiatives that improve national and regional competitiveness in AI.

Moreover, the centre will focus on building an integrated AI ecosystem. For example, it will support scientific research and strengthen infrastructure. Likewise, it will advance AI governance frameworks and speed up the adoption of advanced technologies. Because of this, the centre will reinforce MBZUAI’s role as a key driver of regional and global competitiveness in AI.

Global Support, Research Sharing, and Expert Exchange

The World Economic Forum will support the centre by connecting it to global AI communities. Furthermore, it will provide access to advanced digital platforms. In addition, it will help share the centre’s research and knowledge outputs internationally.
