Majid Al Futtaim, the exclusive operator of Carrefour in the UAE, has announced a strategic partnership between its retail media network, Precision Media, and AI pioneer Advertima. This collaboration introduces a comprehensive omnichannel solution across Carrefour’s UAE grocery stores, integrating digital media planning, activation, and measurement within the physical retail space. Carrefour has already deployed Advertima’s Audience AI in its hypermarkets and plans to expand across its supermarket network in the coming months. This move strengthens Majid Al Futtaim’s leadership in creating innovative and immersive retail experiences.

Enhancing Customer Engagement Through AI and Omnichannel Integration

Arun Chandra Mohan, Chief Digital Officer at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, explained that this partnership aims to blend real-time in-store intelligence with online audience data. As a result, brand partners can connect with customers more precisely, enabling a seamless customer journey across both physical and digital channels. Advertima’s Co-Founder and CEO, Iman Nahvi, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, calling it a game-changer not only for the Middle East but globally.

Advertima’s Audience AI uses visual-spatial 3D sensors to identify shopper segments such as families or bargain hunters and delivers personalized messages on digital screens in real time. By linking this data with online profiles, Carrefour offers brands consistent targeting across all channels. For example, a customer researching baby products online might see related promotions when shopping in-store. This unified approach enables brands to run more measurable and effective campaigns, whether booked directly or programmatically, ultimately improving engagement during critical purchase moments.
