As the country advances in areas from artificial intelligence to smart logistics and fintech, student-led creativity continues to catalyze new models for cybersecurity, resilience, and trust in the online world.

Celebrating this spirit, The Technology Express Innovation Hackathon 2025, sponsored by iFund Factoring, was held in partnership with the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications Office, hosted by Zayed University, and supported by key institutional partners including Dubai AI Campus, DMCC AI Centre, Dubai Police Academy, NextGen Center, and the College of Technological Innovation. This landmark event convened 500 students from 25 universities, driven by 30+ hours of concentrated innovation, mentorship, and real-world challenge-solving across 10 distinct tracks.

The Cyber Guardians track challenged participants to design future-ready, adaptive solutions to complex digital security threats. Teams competed to create new standards for cyber defense and digital trust within the UAE’s evolving tech landscape. Out of a highly competitive pool, the team NetSentinels from Abu Dhabi University was selected as the winning entry by a jury of 15 experts, following rigorous evaluation and deliberation over all submitted solutions.
