Hub71 Teams Up with Google for Startups to Fuel Growth for Abu Dhabi Startups

Hub71 has entered a strategic partnership with Google to foster the growth of startups in the UAE. This collaboration brings Google’s startup programme, Google for Startups, to Abu Dhabi, offering Hub71 startups unique opportunities to scale their businesses from the UAE capital. The alliance aims to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a global tech hub, driving innovation and expanding growth avenues for startups in the region.

The partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony attended by representatives from the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), Mubadala Investment Company, Google, and Hub71. As part of this collaboration, Google will launch a dedicated accelerator programme in 2025, selecting 25 promising startups from Hub71’s ecosystem for a three-month accelerator focused on scaling business models and growth strategies. All startups within the Hub71 community will gain access to valuable Google Cloud credits, with top performers eligible for up to US$300,000 in credits – the highest tier available globally.

Google will also provide tailored playbooks to support early-stage startups within the Hub71 community, connecting them to its extensive mentor network, which includes industry leaders and experts worldwide. Additionally, Hub71 startups will be introduced to Google’s investment teams and its parent company, Alphabet, opening opportunities for funding discussions focused on technology and innovation.

His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Hub71, commented: “Hub71’s collaboration with Google underscores Abu Dhabi’s commitment to becoming a leading global tech hub. This partnership leverages the expertise of global tech leaders, empowering startups with the tools and opportunities needed to succeed in a competitive digital economy, driving sustainable growth and innovation in the region.”

Anthony Nakache, Managing Director for Google in MENA, said: “Our partnership with Hub71 to bring the Google for Startups accelerator programme to Abu Dhabi demonstrates Google’s commitment to empowering UAE startups with growth opportunities, resources, and access to our global network of experts. We look forward to contributing to the expanding digital business landscape in the UAE and beyond.”
