Huawei and American University in Dubai are partnering to establish a tech academy

The American University of Dubai (AUD) recently signed, as part of the GITEX Global 2021 exhibition last week, a cooperation agreement with Huawei Technologies to establish an Academy of Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) on the AUD campus.

The academy will provide AUD with the latest technologies in communication, artificial intelligence and information security to enhance students’ abilities in these fields and prepare them for careers that match the needs of students. The United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region, AUD said.

Training courses

through the Huawei-approved information and network program for academic staff and students, in addition to providing the global experience of the ‘business.

The agreement was signed by AUD chairman Dr. David Schmidt and Spice Lee, vice chairman of Huawei Technologies in the Middle East.

Dr. Schmidt stressed the importance of the agreement for students, especially those studying in the engineering faculty with a specialization in electricity, computer science and computer science.
