HP, Google Beam Redefine Virtual Collaboration at InfoComm

HP Dimension with Google Beam setup enabling immersive 3D virtual business meeting experience.

At InfoComm 2025, HP Inc. introduced HP Dimension with Google Beam, a groundbreaking 3D, AI-driven video communication system aimed at redefining how people collaborate across distances. Developed in partnership with Google, this immersive solution eliminates the need for headsets or wearables and instead uses a sophisticated 3D light field display, six-camera system, adaptive lighting, and spatial audio to simulate in-person presence.

The system addresses a growing challenge in the modern workplace: how to make virtual meetings feel more natural and connected. While conventional video conferencing tools have enabled remote collaboration, they rarely replicate the nuance of face-to-face interactions. As a result, many employees feel a disconnect. In fact, 73% of knowledge workers report wanting stronger connections with their teams.

HP Dimension with Google Beam bridges that gap. It creates realistic 3D visuals of meeting participants, complete with natural eye contact and lifelike color and depth. Furthermore, testing shows measurable improvements over standard video calls. Participants using the system experienced:

  • 28% better memory recall

  • Up to 39% more non-verbal communication

  • At least 14% higher focus on their conversation partners

These enhancements lead to faster alignment and more meaningful collaboration. Additionally, the solution supports native Zoom Rooms and Google Meet experiences, as well as compatibility with Teams and Webex. Whether in immersive one-on-one meetings or 2D group calls, HP Dimension with Google Beam ensures teams stay connected—no matter the distance.

Designed for the Future of Work

HP’s collaboration with Google signals a joint commitment to pushing communication technology forward. Their shared goal is to deliver more authentic, human interactions across virtual spaces. Helen Sheirbon, SVP and President of Hybrid Systems at HP Inc., emphasized this vision:

“We believe that meaningful collaboration thrives on authentic human connections, which is why we partnered with Google to bring HP Dimension with Google Beam out of the lab and into the enterprise…”

Andrew Nartker, General Manager of Google Beam, echoed the sentiment:

“HP Dimension with Google Beam needs to be seen to be believed – making it feel as though you are in the same room, even when you are miles apart…”

In line with the shift toward immersive collaboration, HP is also introducing tools to enhance the auditory side of meetings. The HP Poly Studio A2 Audio Solutions are designed to ensure that audio quality keeps pace with visual innovation.

Pro-Grade Audio with Poly Studio A2

The HP Poly Studio A2 Audio Bridge and Table Microphones provide powerful, scalable audio solutions tailored for a variety of meeting spaces. They integrate seamlessly with next-generation Poly Studio video systems and are engineered for straightforward deployment.

The Table Microphone offers crystal-clear pickup and supports up to eight units in a single setup. Its magnetic mount and daisy-chain design help maintain a clean and organized table layout. At the same time, the Audio Bridge provides high-fidelity audio across as many as 32 synchronized channels. These components work over a single Ethernet connection, making installation efficient while supporting HP’s NoiseBlockAI technology to filter out distractions.

These innovations will be on display at the HP Poly booth #3742 during InfoComm 2025, showcasing the brand’s vision for the future of work.
