Integrated eSIM Services for HONOR Users
HONOR has formed a strategic partnership with OWN eSIM to expand integrated digital connectivity services across the GCC region. Through the collaboration, selected HONOR smartphones will include the OWN eSIM application preinstalled via Google PAI.
As a result, users will activate global connectivity services directly from their devices without relying on physical SIM cards. The move also supports growing consumer demand for flexible and digital-first mobile connectivity solutions.
Focus on Travel and Cross-Border Connectivity
The partnership aims to simplify international mobile access for travelers and users who operate across multiple networks in different countries. In addition, the integration allows faster activation of mobile data services, which reduces setup time for consumers moving across borders.
HONOR stated that the collaboration aligns with its broader strategy to expand innovation beyond hardware by embedding smart connectivity features into its smartphone ecosystem. Meanwhile, the integration is expected to increase awareness and adoption of eSIM technology across GCC markets.
Expanding GCC eSIM Adoption
At the same time, the agreement strengthens OWN eSIM’s position in the region’s expanding eSIM sector. By integrating its platform directly into HONOR smartphones, the company expects to improve accessibility and widen its regional user base.
Furthermore, both companies plan to launch joint marketing and communication campaigns across the GCC to promote the adoption of integrated eSIM technology. The partnership also reflects wider industry momentum toward embedded connectivity services designed to simplify digital experiences and improve access to global mobile networks.
