General Assembly, Brinc MENA Unite to Boost Bahrain Startups

General Assembly and Brinc MENA partner to accelerate Bahrain’s startup ecosystem through innovation and education initiatives.
General Assembly (GA), a global leader in tech education and career development, has partnered with Brinc MENA, a renowned venture accelerator, to strengthen Bahrain’s technology community. The two organisations recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), committing to collaborate on initiatives designed to meet the growing demands of Bahrain’s expanding tech sector. This alliance aims to fuel entrepreneurial activity and technological progress across the kingdom.

Building Bahrain’s Tech Talent Pipeline

General Assembly’s expertise lies in cultivating highly skilled professionals in critical areas such as software engineering, user experience (UX) design, and data analytics. By integrating this talent pool with Brinc’s established ecosystem of startup support, the partnership intends to fast-track innovation and growth. GA’s Director, Ahlam Oun, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “This agreement aligns our efforts with Brinc to unlock new opportunities, create job prospects, and nurture professional development, ultimately driving technological advancement and supporting Bahrain’s evolving digital economy.”

Empowering Startups with Resources and Expertise

Brinc brings extensive experience in accelerating startups across emerging technologies including Web3, AI, energy, and sustainability. Its flagship Mashroo3i Program, developed with Bahrain’s Labour Fund (Tamkeen), targets passionate local entrepreneurs with viable business ideas. Under the new partnership, Brinc will gain access to GA’s global network of mentors and trainers, enriching support for Mashroo3i participants. Conversely, GA will benefit from engaging directly with Brinc’s startup pipeline, offering its students practical opportunities for internships, collaboration, and employment within Bahrain’s vibrant startup ecosystem.

A Catalyst for Sustainable Innovation and Growth

Husain Haji, Managing Director of Brinc MENA, highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership: “By connecting skilled tech professionals trained at General Assembly with startups seeking talent, we unlock immense opportunities. This collaboration showcases Bahrain’s potential as a thriving hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.” Together, GA and Brinc aim to create a sustainable pipeline of talent and resources, empowering individuals and startups to excel and contribute meaningfully to Bahrain’s digital future.
