The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has recently launched an upgraded version of its smart application that offers an array of innovative and accessible services for customers, project builders, suppliers, and students. The app is equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and an improved search feature and is designed to adhere to international standards of digital design for easy accessibility on iOS, Android, and Huawei devices.
DEWA’s Managing Director and CEO, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, highlighted the organization’s dedication to enhancing its digital transformation process and developing its digital channels with cutting-edge technologies and AI tools to improve stakeholder happiness, reduce carbon footprint, and protect the environment. This aligns with the Smart Dubai initiative, which aims to make Dubai the world’s smartest and happiest city. Notably, DEWA achieved a 99% rate of smart service adoption in 2022, and also obtained a 98% score in the Dubai Government’s Instant Happiness Index by Dubai Digital Authority in the same year.
DEWA’s upgraded smart app offers a “Smart Living” dashboard that allows customers to monitor their consumption, obtain annual, monthly, and daily consumption reports, and compare their consumption to that of similar homes through the “My Sustainable Living” program. Additionally, customers can learn about billing details and customized tips to reduce waste, while also benefiting from the EV green charger services by scanning the QR code on DEWA’s green charger stations located throughout Dubai and obtaining exclusive offers on the DEWA store.
The app also provides project builders with the ability to submit and track orders and offers comprehensive services to suppliers, such as purchase orders and auctions. Finally, students can leverage the app to apply for DEWA scholarship programs, internships, and training opportunities, as well as access general information about the DEWA Academy.
