Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed a strategic contract with ENOC Group to expand EV fast chargers at ENOC service stations across Dubai. Moreover, the agreement was formalised during WETEX 2025 and signed by senior executives from both organisations.
The expansion will add more high-speed chargers, and it aims to meet growing electric mobility demand. In addition, the contract supports the EV Green Charger initiative that DEWA launched in 2014.
Impact, Coverage, and Context
As a result, motorists will gain wider access to fast-charging points at convenient retail locations. Furthermore, the project reinforces public-private collaboration to accelerate Dubai’s green mobility rollout and clean-energy goals. DEWA currently operates over 1,500 charging points in partnership with public and private stakeholders, and this deal will broaden that network.
Consequently, the move advances Dubai’s strategies for net-zero carbon emissions and sustainable transport. Overall, the partnership strengthens infrastructure, supports EV adoption, and helps position Dubai as a regional leader in green mobility.
