Audi Debuts Q6 e-tron Offroad Concept, Redefining Electric Off-Roading

Audi has revealed its cutting-edge Q6 e-tron offroad concept, a revolutionary prototype that showcases the future of electric off-road driving. Unveiled during the prestigious Kitzbühel World Cup weekend in Austria, the concept car is built on Audi’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and embodies the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric mobility.

The Q6 e-tron offroad concept features dual electric motors that generate a combined 380 kW, paired with Audi’s newly developed portal axles, enabling the vehicle to conquer gradients as steep as 100 percent (45 degrees). Highlighting its advanced engineering, the model increases torque at the wheels by 50 percent, delivering a remarkable 9,883 lb-ft of torque.

With a 6.3-inch ride height increase and a 9.8-inch wider track, the Q6 e-tron commands attention both on and off-road. Although its top speed is limited to 108 mph to prioritize rugged terrain performance, it excels in handling challenging landscapes with ease.

Audi CEO Gernot Döllner described the concept as a “highly emotive reinterpretation of quattro,” underscoring its potential to redefine the off-road electric vehicle segment. Built on the same platform as the upcoming Q6 e-tron production series, the concept hints at Audi’s commitment to innovation, offering features like exceptional driving range, fast charging, and efficiency.
