Apple executive Paul Meade is leaving the company to join OpenAI’s growing hardware division. Meade has led hardware engineering for the Apple Vision Pro headset and played a key role in Apple’s smart glasses program. Meade is expected to leave Apple within the coming week before taking a position at OpenAI. Moreover, he will contribute to the development of OpenAI’s upcoming family of AI-powered consumer devices.
