Absa Business Banking, one of Africa’s leading business banks, has selected Network International as its digital payments technology partner. Network International, a major enabler of digital commerce in the Middle East and Africa, will deliver end-to-end payment processing through a single platform and a fully outsourced managed services model.

The adoption of Payments as a Service (PaaS) is being fuelled by Africa’s rapid shift to cloud technologies. Analysts highlight that cloud usage in the region is growing quickly, nearing levels seen in developed markets such as North America and China. This surge mirrors the expansion of smartphone ownership, which has transformed access to financial services.

Expanding Capabilities Through Collaboration

The collaboration will cover multiple services, including card management for fleet and commercial prepaid cards, transaction switching and authorization, integration with fleet management systems, and direct connectivity with Absa Bank systems. It will also extend to card tokenization, digital wallets, an online self-service platform, and an expense management solution.
