Huawei FreeBuds 7 Launch With ANC and 33-Hour Battery Life
Huawei has launched the FreeBuds 7 true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones in China. The latest earbuds combine active noise cancellation (ANC) with several advanced audio and connectivity features.
Moreover, the FreeBuds 7 support spatial audio, Hi-Res audio and lossless audio playback. They also feature Bluetooth 6.0 and NearLink E2.0 connectivity. Additionally, the earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
Huawei FreeBuds 7 Price and Colours
The Huawei FreeBuds 7 cost CNY 949 in China, which is approximately AED 490. However, pricing may differ if the earbuds launch in other markets.
Meanwhile, buyers can choose from four colour options: Moonlight White, Midsummer Purple, Starry Night Black and Sunlight Orange. These colour names have been translated from Chinese.
The FreeBuds 7 use a semi-in-ear design and offer a frequency response range from 14Hz to 48kHz. Moreover, the earbuds include active noise cancellation to reduce unwanted background sounds.
At the same time, a transparency mode lets users hear their surroundings while listening to audio. The earbuds also support EQ sound effects, spatial audio, Hi-Res audio and HWA.
Furthermore, Huawei combines three microphones with bone-conduction sound pickup to improve call noise reduction. The earbuds carry an IP55 dust and water resistance rating. However, the charging case does not have an official IP rating.
Users can also control several functions through touch controls on the earbuds.
Connectivity and Smart Features
For wireless connectivity, the FreeBuds 7 support Bluetooth 6.0 and NearLink E2.0, also known as StarFlash. Additionally, dual-device connectivity allows users to connect the earbuds to multiple compatible devices.
The earbuds also support HarmonyOS Multi-Device Connection for compatible Huawei smartphones and tablets. Moreover, smart functions include voice assistant support, Smart Broadcast and AI recording transcription.
As a result, the FreeBuds 7 combine conventional wireless audio features with a wider range of connected functions. These capabilities could particularly benefit users already using compatible devices within Huawei’s ecosystem.
Battery Life and Charging
Each FreeBuds 7 earbud contains a 48mAh battery, while the charging case packs a 460mAh battery. Furthermore, the case supports both USB Type-C wired charging and wireless charging.
The earbuds can deliver up to seven hours of music playback on a single charge with noise cancellation disabled. Meanwhile, the listed total battery life reaches up to 33 hours with the charging case.
Additionally, Huawei advertises up to 42 hours of total music playback with the charging case when ANC is turned off.
Each earbud measures 30.32 x 18.76 x 20.26mm and weighs approximately 4.3 grams. In comparison, the charging case measures 45.50 x 56.20 x 22.90mm and weighs around 33 grams.
Overall, the FreeBuds 7 combine ANC, modern wireless connectivity and smart audio capabilities in a compact design. Moreover, their long total playback time and multiple charging options add flexibility for everyday use.
