Botim Launches First Mastercard One Credential Card in UAE

Botim Mastercard One Credential launch

Botim, the UAE fintech platform, has partnered with Mastercard to launch Mastercard One Credential, allowing eligible cardholders to manage multiple payment funding sources through a single card.

The Mastercard One Credential solution connects one payment product with multiple funding sources through a digital interface. Additionally, eligible Botim cardholders can switch between prepaid balances and credit funding without requiring separate cards.

The launch marks the first rollout of Mastercard One Credential in the UAE and across Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EEMEA).

Flexible payment solutions for consumers

The launch comes as consumers increasingly seek more flexible and convenient payment options. Moreover, Mastercard global consumer research found that 83 percent of UAE consumers surveyed would use card installments through One Credential.

The research also highlighted strong demand for combining multiple payment methods within a single capability. Therefore, the solution aims to provide users with greater control and flexibility when managing their payments.

For first-time credit users, the solution provides an entry point to credit through an existing card experience. Furthermore, Botim cardholders can access funds in multiple currencies and convert purchases into installments, allowing them to manage payments and track transactions more efficiently.

Through this collaboration, customers can benefit from simpler payment management, enhanced flexibility and improved access to digital financial services. As digital payment adoption continues to grow, the initiative supports the development of more connected and accessible payment experiences across the region.
