Nvidia Secures $500B AI Partnerships in Asia
Nvidia has unveiled AI partnerships valued at more than $500 billion across Japan and South Korea, significantly expanding its presence in Asia’s rapidly growing artificial intelligence infrastructure market. The announcements, led by CEO Jensen Huang during his regional visit, include large-scale investments in AI factories, next-generation memory, sovereign AI infrastructure, robotics, and cloud computing. Consequently, Nvidia is reinforcing its position as the primary technology supplier for national AI ecosystems across the region.
The largest commitment comes from South Korea, where Nvidia and SK Group announced an AI initiative exceeding $500 billion. The collaboration covers hyperscale AI data centers, advanced memory development with SK hynix, and AI factory infrastructure powered by Nvidia’s latest computing platforms. Moreover, the agreement supports South Korea’s ambition to become a global leader in sovereign AI and next-generation digital infrastructure.
South Korea Expands AI Infrastructure
The partnership combines Nvidia’s AI systems with SK Group’s expertise in semiconductors, energy, telecommunications, and cloud infrastructure. Therefore, the companies plan to build large AI factories capable of supporting enterprise AI, physical AI, generative AI, and government-backed computing projects.
SK hynix will continue supplying next-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM4) for Nvidia’s future AI accelerators, while SK Telecom will develop a multi-gigawatt AI data center using Nvidia’s DSX AI Factory architecture and Vera Rubin computing platform. As a result, South Korea expects to accelerate AI adoption across industries while strengthening domestic semiconductor manufacturing.
Japan Strengthens Robotics and AI Collaboration
In Japan, Nvidia expanded partnerships with Toyota, SoftBank, leading robotics developers, research institutions, and cloud providers. The initiatives focus on autonomous driving, industrial robotics, digital twins, AI-powered manufacturing, and sovereign AI infrastructure. Consequently, Nvidia is extending its AI platform beyond automotive applications into factories, healthcare, telecommunications, and smart cities.
The company also highlighted new collaborations that leverage Nvidia Omniverse, Cosmos, Isaac robotics software, and Blackwell-based AI systems. These technologies will help Japanese organizations accelerate AI model development, deploy intelligent robots, and modernize industrial operations. In addition, Nvidia continues working with Toyota to integrate AI into next-generation mobility platforms while expanding partnerships across Japan’s technology ecosystem.
