Foxconn Reportedly Secures First SpaceX AI Server Contract
Foxconn has reportedly secured its first contract to manufacture artificial intelligence servers for SpaceX, marking a significant step in the growing AI infrastructure market. According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily, the agreement could be worth as much as $52 billion if it reaches full scale. However, neither Foxconn nor SpaceX has officially confirmed the reported deal.
The report states that SpaceX plans to deploy more than 13,000 AI server racks powered by Nvidia’s upcoming GB300 chips. Consequently, the project could become one of the largest AI server deployments undertaken by the aerospace company.
Nvidia-Powered Infrastructure Could Expand SpaceX AI Capacity
Each AI server rack is estimated to cost around $4 million. Therefore, the total contract value could reach approximately $52 billion if all planned systems move into production. Moreover, the deployment would rely on Nvidia’s next-generation GB300 platform, which is designed for demanding AI training and inference workloads.
The reported agreement would also mark Foxconn’s first AI server manufacturing order from SpaceX. In addition, it could reshape the company’s position within the AI hardware supply chain as demand for high-performance computing continues to accelerate.
Deal Could Reshape AI Server Competition
If finalized, the contract could reduce the dominance of existing SpaceX AI server suppliers, including Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer. As a result, Foxconn would strengthen its presence in one of the fastest-growing segments of enterprise computing.
Nevertheless, the reported agreement has faced scrutiny. Shortly after the reports circulated, Elon Musk publicly dismissed the claim, stating on X that it was “fake news.” Consequently, the reported contract remains unverified, and SpaceX has not announced any official AI server procurement agreement with Foxconn.
