First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has introduced the Jaywan Debit Card under the UAE’s national card scheme, which Al Etihad Payments manages with the backing of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE). As a result, customers can now access a locally developed payment solution for secure domestic transactions.
The card is currently available for payments within the UAE. Moreover, the rollout supports the country’s efforts to strengthen its financial infrastructure and create a more efficient national payments ecosystem.
Jaywan strengthens secure digital payments
The Jaywan Debit Card reflects FAB’s continued focus on secure, innovative, and customer-centric banking services. At the same time, the initiative supports the UAE’s vision of building a resilient and inclusive digital economy.
The new payment solution enables customers to complete everyday transactions through a nationally backed card network. Consequently, users benefit from secure domestic payments while contributing to the expansion of the country’s digital financial ecosystem.
National payment ecosystem continues to grow
The launch represents another milestone in the development of the UAE’s national payment infrastructure. Furthermore, it promotes stronger payment security, financial innovation, and broader digital transformation across the banking sector.
As the Jaywan network expands nationwide, customers will gain greater access to locally developed payment services. In addition, the initiative strengthens the UAE’s long-term strategy to enhance financial independence, improve payment efficiency, and support the growth of a modern digital economy.
