ASUS and Intel Launch AI Lab to Transform Education in Oman
ASUS and Intel have partnered with Oman’s Ministry of Education to launch a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab at the Directorate-General of Education in Al Dhahirah Governorate in Ibri. The project marks ASUS Education’s first AI-focused initiative in the region. Moreover, it reinforces the companies’ commitment to expanding AI adoption across the education sector.
The new AI Lab supports Oman’s efforts to equip students with future-ready skills, empower educators, and encourage research. Additionally, the initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040, which aims to strengthen the country’s AI capabilities while promoting a knowledge-based economy.
The facility features ASUS AI-ready products designed for educational and research environments. These include rugged Chromebooks, AI PCs, all-in-one classroom systems, and high-performance devices built for advanced AI workloads. Furthermore, the devices offer long battery life, reliable connectivity, and sustainable designs that help reduce carbon emissions while supporting hybrid learning.
Powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, the devices combine CPU, GPU, and NPU technologies to accelerate AI applications. As a result, students and educators can benefit from improved creativity, productivity, and professional-level performance. The lab also includes ASUS ExpertBook P3405, P5405, B1403, and B3405 business laptops alongside the company’s all-in-one PCs.
AI Lab Supports Vision 2040 and Future Learning
The initiative combines ASUS AI-ready hardware, Intel’s AI-optimized processors, and local implementation expertise to create a modern learning environment. Consequently, the lab provides students and educators with advanced AI tools for classroom learning, research, and innovation.
The AI Lab also supports Oman’s National Program for Artificial Intelligence by encouraging AI literacy and strengthening digital education. Moreover, it offers a collaborative space where educators and students can explore emerging technologies while developing practical AI skills for future careers.
