Ajman Transport Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with e& to expand collaboration in digital innovation and artificial intelligence. As a result, both organizations aim to accelerate the development of smarter transport services and improve corporate operations across the emirate.
The agreement was signed during the 3rd Annual Government Cybersecurity Summit 2026. Ahmed Saqr Al Matrooshi, Acting Director General of Ajman Transport Authority, and Saood Karmostaje, Acting CEO of the Government and VIP Segment, formalized the partnership on behalf of their respective organizations.
AI to Enhance Operations and Transport Planning
Under the agreement, both parties will explore agentic AI applications to improve operational efficiency and service quality. In particular, the initiative will support back-office functions such as human resources automation, finance management, employee inquiry handling, payroll administration, leave management, and financial reporting.
Additionally, the partnership will evaluate AI-powered solutions for bus route planning and scheduling. By analyzing operational and passenger data, the initiative aims to improve fleet utilization, strengthen capacity planning, and deliver more flexible and sustainable transport services.
Furthermore, the collaboration includes the use of artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies for video and behavioral analysis. These tools will help monitor passenger movement, improve compliance with safety standards, strengthen crowd management, and enhance operational oversight across transport facilities and networks.
Supporting Smart Mobility and Digital Transformation
Ahmed Saqr Al Matrooshi said the agreement represents a strategic step toward accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies within the transport sector. He noted that the initiative reinforces the Authority’s commitment to improving operational efficiency and service quality through artificial intelligence.
He further explained that the partnership will create a more agile and innovative operating environment through smart planning, advanced data analytics, and enhanced user experiences. Moreover, it will support the growth of national AI capabilities while advancing Ajman’s vision for smart and sustainable government services.

Alongside technology deployment, the MoU also emphasizes workforce development. Therefore, both organizations will explore specialized AI training programs designed to upskill employees and prepare them for the evolving demands of digital transformation.
Through this combined approach, the partnership seeks to strengthen transport services, improve operational performance, and support the long-term adoption of AI-driven innovation across the sector.
