Xiaomi Unveils Powerful 15T Series Globally
Xiaomi has officially launched its 15T Series, featuring the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro, at a global event in Munich, Germany. This release marks a major leap for the T Series, transforming it from a flagship photography line into a showcase of advanced mobile technology, refined design, and elevated imaging capabilities.
Both devices debut the Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which improves multitasking, enhances productivity, and introduces a refreshed interface with smarter interconnectivity. Additionally, the Xiaomi Astral Communication suite redefines connectivity by introducing Xiaomi Offline Communication, enabling voice communication between 15T devices over distances of up to 1.9 km on the Pro and 1.3 km on the base version without cellular or Wi-Fi signals. Consequently, users can stay connected even in remote locations such as deserts or hiking trails.
To complement this connectivity leap, the new Super Antenna Array with AI Smart Antenna Switching ensures stronger, more adaptive signals during gaming, streaming, or navigation. Combined with Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner, it flexibly switches between GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular networks for consistently stable performance.
Elevated Imaging with Leica Partnership
The Xiaomi 15T Series brings significant improvements to mobile photography through a triple-camera system co-engineered with Leica. The 15T Pro includes a main, ultra-wide, and Leica 5x Pro telephoto camera, while the standard 15T features a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto setup. Both models offer versatile focal lengths for precise composition: the Pro spans from 15 mm to 230 mm, while the base model covers 15 mm to 92 mm.
At the heart of the series is a 50MP Leica Summilux optical lens that delivers vivid colors, high contrast, and impressive low-light performance with an ƒ/1.7 aperture on the 15T and ƒ/1.62 on the Pro. Furthermore, the Light Fusion 900 image sensor on the Pro achieves a 13.5 EV dynamic range for enhanced clarity and tonal accuracy.
For Zoom enthusiasts, the 15T Pro offers 5x optical zoom, 10x optical-level zoom, and up to 20x Ultra Zoom, making it ideal for everything from sweeping landscapes to detailed close-ups. Both devices also include a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 computational photography platform introduces PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0, improving depth perception, tonal range, and color fidelity. As a result, images appear more natural with minimal post-editing. The Master Portrait feature adds new adjustable bokeh effects, while Leica Street Photography Mode allows instant captures from the lock screen with popular focal lengths such as 28 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm, and—exclusive to the Pro—135 mm.
In terms of videography, both models support 4K 30 fps HDR10+ recording across all focal lengths. The Pro variant goes further with 4K 120 fps cinematic clips and 4K 60 fps 10-bit Log recording with LUT input for professional-grade editing.
Display, Performance, and Design Upgrades
Designed for immersive viewing, the 6.83-inch display features a sharp 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, maintaining clarity even under direct sunlight. Additionally, the 15T Pro introduces ultra-narrow 1.5 mm bezels using LIPO technology and a smooth 144 Hz refresh rate, while the base 15T supports a 120 Hz refresh rate with 3,840 Hz PWM dimming for reduced flicker and improved eye comfort.
Under the hood, both phones house a 5,500 mAh battery. The Pro offers 90 W wired HyperCharge and 50 W wireless HyperCharge, while the 15T supports 67 W HyperCharge, enabling quick top-ups. Moreover, both retain up to 80% battery capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.
The 15T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, built on a 3 nm process, while the standard 15T uses the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Enhanced by the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop cooling system, the devices manage heat effectively, maintaining performance during prolonged use.
Beyond performance, the series boasts a unified glass fiber back with flat frames and IP68 water- and dust-resistant certification, capable of withstanding depths of up to three meters. The Pro model’s 6M13 aluminum alloy frame enhances drop protection and structural integrity.
For style, the 15T Pro is available in Black, Gray, and Mocha Gold, while the 15T comes in Black, Gray, and Rose Gold. Pricing begins at AED 2,299 for the Pro and AED 1,799 for the 15T, making premium design and flagship features more accessible to a broader audience.
