PPSH-41 and FN FAL Return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 2
Activision has officially unveiled promotional images for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, confirming the highly anticipated return of two iconic weapons: the PPSH-41 submachine gun and the FN FAL assault rifle. Set to launch on January 28, the new season promises fresh content, major bug fixes, quality-of-life enhancements, and more.
The latest promotional images, shared on Call of Duty’s official X account, depict three operators breaching a high-rise building on the Vondel map. One operator is seen wielding the FN FAL, while another carries the PPSH-41, signaling the comeback of these legendary firearms. However, it remains unclear whether these weapons will be available at launch or introduced as part of a mid-season update.
The PPSH-41, known for its high fire rate and close-quarters dominance, has been a fan-favorite across multiple Call of Duty titles. Meanwhile, the FN FAL is renowned for its precision, high damage output, and versatility in mid-to-long-range engagements, making it a strategic choice for players.
Additionally, Treyarch Studios has teased the arrival of a new Zombies map called “The Tomb”, set to debut with Season 2. Speculation initially suggested the return of the MP40, but it has now been confirmed that the PPSH-41 will be the featured weapon. The Tomb is expected to introduce challenging gameplay and further expand the Call of Duty Zombies storyline.
With these exciting updates, Season 2 is shaping up to deliver a mix of nostalgia and fresh experiences for players across multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies modes.
