Yango Launches Yasmina Kids Mode With Parental Controls and Safe Search

Yasmina Kids Mode parental controls

Yango has launched ‘Kids Mode’ for Yasmina, adding a child-friendly experience with new parental controls. The feature aims to make interactions with the AI assistant safer for children while giving parents more oversight of their activity.

With the new mode enabled, Yasmina provides child-friendly responses using simpler language and a warmer, age-appropriate tone. In addition, the mode limits certain content to offer younger users a more suitable audio experience.

Parents can also check how long children use a device and review the audio content they have listened to. As a result, families gain greater visibility into how children interact with Yasmina.

Meanwhile, the update introduces remote reminders to support everyday family routines. Parents can set reminders for specific times, helping children organise activities and keep track of daily tasks.

Kids Mode adds games and child-friendly content

Kids Mode also expands Yasmina’s entertainment and learning options for younger users. For instance, children can take part in simple thinking games, including guessing games and word chains.

Additionally, the mode offers age-appropriate audio content such as nursery rhymes, bedtime stories and children’s songs. Therefore, children have more options to play, listen and learn through the assistant.

The update also includes Safe Search for children. Specifically, the feature aims to deliver more age-appropriate search results and reduce exposure to unsuitable material. Consequently, children can explore information through a search experience designed with younger audiences in mind.

Parents gain more control over children’s experience

Kids Mode combines children’s activities and parental management features within one experience. While children can talk, play, listen and use their imagination, parents receive tools to oversee how they use the assistant.

Furthermore, parents can enable Kids Mode and adjust its settings through the Yango app. The feature is intended for children to use under parental supervision.
