Yango Group, a global technology leader, has partnered with the Rashid Center for People of Determination to deliver a multi-faceted initiative that enhances learning, mobility, and digital safety. This collaboration reflects the UAE’s commitment to inclusive education and its national push toward digital transformation. Inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s directive to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) in schools, the partnership aims to ensure that students of determination are part of this nationwide shift.
Since AI is projected to contribute $96 billion to the UAE economy by 2030, bridging the digital divide is more important than ever. Therefore, Yango Group is providing students with smart speakers powered by Yasmina, a bilingual AI assistant capable of Arabic and English voice interaction. These tools make digital learning more accessible and interactive for students. Additionally, Yango Ride will offer each student up to 60 discounted rides annually, easing the transportation burden on families.
Moreover, Yango Play will provide free yearly subscriptions to the center and its students. These include curated, Arabic-language educational content tailored to different age groups. By making safe and meaningful media accessible, the platform promotes learning beyond the classroom.
Removing Barriers, Creating Access
Islam Abdul Karim, Regional Head of Yango Group Middle East, stated: “With AI now shaping the future of education, work, and communication, it’s vital that students of determination are not left on the margins. This partnership is about removing barriers across learning, mobility, and access to technology. Every child deserves the chance to grow with confidence in a world that’s increasingly digital, and we are proud to contribute to that journey.”
These sentiments are echoed by Mariam Othman, Director of the Rashid Center for People of Determination, who shared: “We are deeply grateful to Yango Group for their thoughtful and forward-thinking support. This partnership reflects a shared belief that students of determination deserve every opportunity to thrive in today’s digital world. By providing accessible technology, safe transportation, and inclusive educational tools, Yango is not only opening doors but also inspiring confidence in our students. Together, we are building a future where no child is left behind.”
Preparing for a Digitally Inclusive Future
The collaboration will expand in September with the introduction of monthly AI learning sessions tailored to the students’ abilities. These classes will break down key AI concepts into accessible formats, helping build both confidence and critical digital skills. To further support inclusion, Yango will conduct digital safety workshops for students, families, and educators. These sessions will address online protection, age-appropriate content awareness, and secure streaming practices.
Furthermore, Yango Ride will work closely with the Rashid Center to train its drivers on compassionate service practices. This initiative ensures passengers of determination experience travel that is both safe and respectful.
By uniting expertise in technology and social impact, Yango Group and the Rashid Center are setting a powerful example. Together, they are ensuring that people of determination can engage with the UAE’s digital future on equal footing.
