Xreal has returned to CES 2026 with an updated version of its entry-level AR glasses. The new Xreal One 1S refines the original model with modest hardware upgrades and a lower price, which positions it as a more accessible personal cinema option.
Incremental upgrades to the Xreal One 1S
The One 1S functions as a wearable spatial display that connects via USB-C to compatible phones, tablets, laptops, and consoles. As before, twin micro-displays create the illusion of a large virtual screen positioned at a comfortable viewing distance. However, the updated model improves several core specifications. Screen resolution increases from 1080p to 1200p, while the field of view expands slightly. In addition, brightness rises to 700 nits, and the aspect ratio shifts to 16:10. Consequently, visuals appear sharper and better suited for productivity and media playback. At the same time, the price drops from $499 to $449.
Viewing experience and positioning
These changes aim to strengthen immersion without altering the core design. Therefore, the glasses continue to emphasize comfort and extended wear. Moreover, the perceived screen size remains large enough to mimic a dedicated cinema or monitor setup. Although the improvements are incremental, they collectively enhance everyday usability. As a result, the One 1S targets users who want a portable display without committing to heavier headsets.
Xreal Neo accessory expands compatibility
Alongside the glasses, Xreal is also launching the Xreal Neo accessory. This external module combines a 10,000 mAh battery with a DisplayPort hub. As a result, it extends usage time and simplifies connections for devices such as the Nintendo Switch. Previously, portable console use required carrying a dock. However, the Neo removes that need when gaming on the move. The accessory sells separately for $99, and both products are available immediately.
