Wipro Secures IT Transformation Deal with Etihad Airways to Drive Digital Modernization
Wipro Limited, a global technology services and consulting leader, has been chosen by Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, to spearhead a major IT transformation initiative aimed at modernizing its technological infrastructure.
Under this five-year agreement, Wipro will oversee the migration of legacy systems, ensuring enhanced operational efficiency across critical functions, including workplace solutions, network management, infrastructure upgrades, and service optimization.
A key aspect of the collaboration is the deployment of Wipro FullStride Cloud, a customized cloud-based solution that will equip Etihad Airways with real-time insights into resource utilization, facilitating greater operational agility and scalability across its global network.
Additionally, Generative AI (GenAI) modules will be seamlessly integrated into Etihad’s IT framework, enhancing automation in data centers, improving conversational AI-based customer support, and enabling intelligent device management. These AI-driven insights will proactively optimize performance and mitigate potential disruptions.
Frank Meyer, Chief Digital Officer of Etihad Airways, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating:
