Under the ‘NextGen FDI’ initiative announced by the Ministry of Economy, Gecko Robotics, a pioneer in robotics and industrial asset management software, is establishing its global headquarters in the UAE.
According to a press release from the government, the Pittsburgh-based business will establish a facility in Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Industrial City (KIZAD), which will result in the creation of 300 employment.
Co-founder and CEO Jake Loosararian was reported in the release as saying that the first group of employees had relocated to the UAE and that Gecko hoped to take advantage of the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPA) and access to manufacturing and engineering talent.
