UAE AI innovation and technology hub

United Arab Emirates has secured a leading position in the global AI landscape, according to the latest report from Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. Notably, the country ranks highly in institutional support, governance, and strategic awareness. As a result, it continues to perform strongly across key benchmarks such as skills, jobs, adoption, and talent development.

Moreover, the report highlights that the UAE exceeds expectations in AI adoption relative to its GDP per capita. In comparison, countries like Singapore also demonstrate strong performance, yet the UAE consistently stands among top global innovators. Therefore, its reputation as a hub for AI capabilities continues to grow.

Workforce Growth and AI Adoption

At the same time, AI adoption within the workforce remains notably high. More than 80 percent of employees regularly use AI tools, while trust levels also remain strong. Consequently, this widespread usage reflects both accessibility and confidence in AI technologies.

In addition, the country has experienced rapid growth in AI engineering skills. While technical expertise expands quickly, it significantly outpaces general awareness and basic literacy. Furthermore, AI talent concentration increased by over 100 percent between 2019 and 2025. Because of this growth, the UAE ranks highly in global talent inflow, attracting skilled professionals from around the world.

Meanwhile, AI-related job postings accounted for approximately 2.87 percent of total listings in 2025. As a result, demand for AI-skilled professionals continues to rise, reinforcing the country’s position as a leader in digital employment opportunities.

Education, Research, and Future Outlook

Looking ahead, the UAE continues to strengthen its AI ecosystem through education and research initiatives. For instance, the National AI Strategy 2031 integrates AI into education at all levels. Since the 2025–2026 academic year, AI education has become mandatory, covering data, algorithms, innovation, and ethics. Therefore, future generations will develop strong foundational knowledge in AI.
