UAE Leverages AI to Achieve 99% Diagnostic Accuracy and Transform Patient Care

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing healthcare in the UAE, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy, enhancing medical imaging, and streamlining patient care. At Arab Health 2025, leading healthcare authorities and medical technology companies showcased AI-driven innovations designed to optimize workflows and advance disease detection.

AI-Powered Innovations in UAE Healthcare

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) introduced an AI-powered virtual employee, while the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) unveiled AI-driven biometric analysis and smart auditing systems for health facility engineering.

Advancements in AI Medical Technology

  • Philips launched an AI-powered, helium-free MRI system, reducing costs while improving precision diagnosis and sustainability. Its AI-enabled CT solutions enhance scan quality and minimize radiation exposure, streamlining patient workflows.
  • Siemens Healthineers introduced an AI-enhanced quantum CT scanner and helium-free MRI platform, pushing the boundaries of AI-assisted imaging.
  • GE Healthcare presented a handheld ultrasound scanner, which provides remote diagnostics, making medical imaging more accessible in regions with limited healthcare infrastructure.

AI’s Impact on Diagnostic Accuracy

AI-powered medical imaging algorithms have demonstrated up to 99% accuracy in disease detection, significantly reducing human error. However, experts emphasize the importance of doctors interpreting AI-generated results to ensure clinical reliability.

“AI improves early disease detection, enabling faster interventions and better patient outcomes,” said Eamon Al Sikafi, Commercial Counsellor of Life Sciences at Enterprise Ireland.
