UAE Pioneers AI and Cloud Technology Adoption, Oracle Confirms
Oracle, a global leader in IT and database solutions, has highlighted the UAE’s remarkable advancements in adopting artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing technologies. Speaking at the Oracle CloudWorld Tour in Dubai, Ahmed Adly, Vice President of Cloud Engineering for the Middle East and Africa, noted that the UAE is not only utilising AI but also playing a significant role in its development.
According to Adly, the UAE and Saudi Arabia are leading the region in AI and cloud adoption, spurred by forward-looking government initiatives aimed at fostering technological innovation. To meet growing local and regional demand, Oracle plans to increase the capacity of its UAE-based cloud computing center by five times within the next year, further cementing the nation’s status as a global hub for cloud computing.
Adly also underlined the importance of human capital development in driving digital transformation. Oracle has launched an initiative to train 350,000 individuals in AI and cloud computing over the coming years, supporting the UAE’s efforts to build a skilled workforce in emerging technologies.
The UAE’s position as a leading global destination for innovation is reflected in its hosting of Oracle’s largest CloudWorld event in the region. This underscores the country’s growing significance in the global technology landscape, solidifying its reputation as a central hub for cutting-edge advancements.
