UAE to Showcase Aerospace Innovations at Egypt Airshow 2024

The UAE will feature prominently at the inaugural Egypt International Airshow in Al Almain city from September 3rd to 5th, showcasing its advanced defence and aerospace technologies. The UAE National Pavilion, organized under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, will highlight the nation’s cutting-edge innovations in a dedicated exhibition space.

This premier event is designed to propel advancements in manufacturing, digitalisation, and global integration within the aerospace sectors across the Middle East and Africa. It offers a crucial platform for space agencies and satellite operators to discuss progress in space exploration, satellite communications, and the diverse applications of space technology in both civil and military domains.

The airshow will feature a broad spectrum of aircraft types, including civil, military, and unmanned models, displayed in an expansive open-air area. Attendees can also enjoy spectacular air performances from elite aerobatic teams.

The National Pavilion, supported by the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council and organized by the Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC), will display state-of-the-art defence technologies and products. Notable UAE-based exhibitors include EDGE Group, Calidus Aerospace, Sanad, Remah International Group, AAL Group, Al Jundi, and Capital Events. The event will see the participation of 300 major international aerospace manufacturers from 100 countries.

The pavilion’s participation underscores the UAE’s capabilities in developing and producing advanced defence solutions, positioning the nation as a leader in both regional and global defence and aviation sectors. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore over 50 products made in the UAE, showcasing the nation’s technological prowess.

Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of EDCC, stated, “The UAE’s participation in this prestigious event emphasises its keen interest in fostering fraternal relations with Egypt and strengthening regional cooperation in the defence sector.” She added, “We are eager to facilitate technology transfer and knowledge sharing within the defence industry. By taking part in this event, we aim to demonstrate the advanced technologies developed by our national companies and explore opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration with our Egyptian and global partners.
