Twitch, the world’s leading interactive live streaming platform, has officially launched its Arabic Right-to-Left (RTL) interface across web and mobile offering a fully localized experience for Arabic-speaking users. This milestone reflects Twitch’s commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and localized community support, especially in one of the fastest-growing regions for digital content.

“We want streamers from every background to thrive,” said Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch. “Launching Arabic RTL enables more people to connect, express themselves, and build community in their own language. We’re excited to keep investing in creators and fans across the region.”

The new RTL interface supports full right-to-left navigation on both desktop and mobile. Users can activate Arabic language settings through account preferences or device language options. Additional Arabic localizations like emails and notifications are set to roll out in Q3 and Q4 of this year.

MENA Viewership Surges as Twitch Strengthens Regional Focus

In 2024 alone, viewers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) spent over 209 million hours watching Twitch content. Top regional categories included Just Chatting, Valorant, League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Overwatch 2, showcasing a rich mix of competitive and conversational content.

Globally, Twitch continues to dominate the livestreaming space with more than 60% market share and over 655 million hours watched in 2024. The Arabic RTL update aligns with the region’s growing gaming and content economy, projected to exceed $6 billion by 2027, fueled by youth innovation and national digital strategies.
