The UAE is going to host a large international robotics event

In June 2023, the Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge (MBZIRC) will be conducted in Abu Dhabi, with a prize pool of more than $3 million. Marine safety and security solutions will be sought by IT innovators. MBZIRC is held every two years and is organized by ASPIRE, the technology program management pillar of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), Abu Dhabi’s overarching advanced technology research authority.

The next version, dubbed the MBZIRC Marine Grand Challenge, will concentrate on real-time solutions to maritime safety and security issues. International universities, research institutes, companies, and individual innovators from all over the world are invited to participate in the challenge. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) will work together to execute sophisticated navigation and manipulation tasks.
