Technology Innovation Institute Unveils Falcon 3 Model to Democratise AI Access
The Technology Innovation Institute (TII), a part of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), has announced the launch of Falcon 3, the latest evolution of its open-source large language model (LLM) series. This release aims to enhance access to artificial intelligence by enabling the model to operate efficiently on light infrastructures, such as laptops, marking a significant leap in AI accessibility and inclusivity.
Falcon 3 is designed to set new performance standards for small LLMs, boasting superior reasoning, enhanced fine-tuning capabilities, and remarkable efficiency. Trained on 14 trillion tokens, the model ranks among the top global performers capable of operating on a single GPU. It debuted as the #1 model on Hugging Face’s third-party LLM leaderboard, outperforming other open-source models of similar size.
