A new 27-inch QHD gaming monitor is on the way, offering a 240Hz refresh rate, HDR, and variable refresh rate support. When used with a gaming console, though, the refresh rate caps at 120Hz. Still, this setup ensures smooth visuals and sharp detail for both console and PC users. The monitor will launch in the US and Japan in 2026, although pricing details remain undisclosed.
Innovative Features for Convenience
In addition to its strong performance, the monitor includes a built-in charging hook for game controllers. The hook folds down from the rear, allowing players to conveniently place their controller on it between sessions. This small yet clever feature ensures that the controller stays charged and ready to use at any moment. Moreover, the design keeps the setup neat, eliminating the need for extra cables or charging docks.
A Broader Push Toward PC Gaming
This monitor follows the company’s earlier reveal of the Pulse Elevate portable desktop speakers, which are compatible with PC, Mac, gaming consoles, and portable devices. These speakers are also expected in 2026. The new hardware lineup highlights a clear shift toward expanding into the PC gaming market. Recently, the company enabled pairing a single controller with multiple devices, making it easier to switch between console and PC without reconfiguration. Overall, these efforts demonstrate a growing focus on creating a more seamless cross-platform gaming experience.
