Škoda Unveils New Octavia in Middle East with Four Trim Options

Škoda launches the new Octavia in the Middle East, offering four trim options with enhanced features and modern design.

Škoda has officially launched the new Octavia model in the Middle East, marking a significant update to one of its global best-sellers. This refreshed version offers enhanced design, performance, and sustainability features while continuing to deliver the European engineering quality that defines the Octavia’s legacy. With over seven million units sold globally, the Octavia remains a cornerstone of the brand’s lineup.

Now available in four distinctive trims—Essence, Selection, Sportline, and RS—the new Octavia caters to a wide range of drivers across the region. Prices begin at $24,443 (excluding VAT), positioning it as a high-value offering with premium upgrades.

Smarter Design, More Personalisation

The new Octavia introduces subtle yet impactful design updates. Refined front and rear aprons, an updated Škoda grille, and second-generation LED Matrix headlights give the car a more confident, modern look. These headlights now feature 36 matrix segments for better visibility, while animated LED rear lights enhance visual appeal on the Sportline and RS models.

A fresh wheel portfolio includes bold alloy designs up to 19 inches, with RS-specific Elias wheels in anthracite and Sportline-exclusive Vega wheels. The car is available in nine paint finishes, including the striking Mamba Green reserved for Sportline and RS trims, offering drivers a greater degree of personalisation.

Inside, the cabin sets a new benchmark in comfort and sustainability. A new 13-inch infotainment display joins a redesigned 10-inch digital cluster—now standard across all variants. Enhanced USB-C ports offer 45W fast charging, while a wireless phone charging pad with integrated cooling is now available. Upholstery materials incorporate recycled fabrics, and sustainably tanned leather elevates the interior’s eco-conscious appeal.

Powerful and Efficient Powertrain Options

The new Octavia lineup includes two turbocharged petrol engines designed for both performance and efficiency. A 1.4 TSI engine delivers 150 hp via an 8-speed automatic transmission, offering fuel economy as low as 5.6L per 100 km. This makes it ideal for drivers seeking daily practicality without sacrificing dynamism.

At the performance end, the Octavia RS features a 2.0 TSI engine producing 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 250 km/h. Paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission, the RS variant also includes progressive steering, a VAQ limited-slip differential, and a sport suspension lowered by 15 mm—ensuring engaging handling and confident traction.

Enhanced Safety and Simply Clever Convenience

Safety in the new Octavia has been taken up a notch. Key additions include Attention and Drowsiness Assist for better driver monitoring. Advanced systems like adaptive cruise control will roll out later this year. With up to seven airbags and camera-based emergency braking features, the Octavia maintains its five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, placing it among the safest sedans in its class.

Charging ports, including one discreetly located in the rear-view mirror, ensure full connectivity for all passengers.

“The launch of the new Octavia represents another important step for the brand in our Middle East journey. For the first time, we’re introducing new entry-level trims that will make the Octavia accessible to an even wider audience, including price-sensitive customers and businesses seeking fleet solutions. All without compromising safety, comfort, or design—something that will resonate with our customers here who value innovation, reliability, and refined European engineering.”
