Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella has tested positive for Influenza A, leading to the postponement of his planned visit to the UAE this week. Following medical advice, Nadella has had to rearrange his travel plans and will no longer be attending the Microsoft AI Tour in Dubai on February 6, 2024.

Despite his absence, Microsoft has confirmed that the event will proceed as scheduled. The AI Tour aims to showcase advancements in artificial intelligence and strengthen collaborations between Microsoft and UAE’s public and private sectors.

Microsoft stated that the event will go ahead as planned, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the UAE’s AI transformation.

Charles Lamanna, corporate vice president for business and industry copilot at Microsoft, along with other senior company leaders, will lead the discussions and engagements at the event. The AI Tour provides a platform for business leaders, developers, IT professionals, and AI enthusiasts to explore the latest innovations in artificial intelligence and its impact on industries.
