Samsung showcased its 2025 innovations during the Unpacked event in New York, where it introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 (including the Flip 7 FE), and the Galaxy Watch 8 series. These new devices reinforce Samsung’s leadership in foldables and wearables, blending sleeker hardware with AI-powered features.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 emphasizes portability without compromising performance. With a thickness of just 8.9 mm when folded and a weight of about 215 g, it’s noticeably lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Furthermore, its 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner screen and 6.5-inch outer display deliver 2,600 nits of peak brightness, ideal for productivity and entertainment alike.

Samsung has also introduced its first foldable with a 200MP ProVisual camera, supported by AI-enhanced editing tools. For added resilience, the device includes an Armor Flex hinge, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, and IP48-rated protection. Moreover, performance is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy and features the full Galaxy AI suite, including live translation and Circle to Search.

Its 4,400 mAh battery promises all-day usage, making it as durable internally as it is externally. Although pre-orders began on July 9, the phone officially launches globally on July 25. Pricing starts at AED 7,337.

Foldables with AI, Power, and Personalization

While the Z Fold 7 targets productivity, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE aim for design, flexibility, and smart daily use. The Flip 7 debuts a 4.1-inch FlexWindow, which is both the largest and brightest cover screen on any Flip device to date. With its 6.9-inch AMOLED 2X display and 2,600-nit brightness, it offers an immersive, cinematic experience in a pocket-friendly form.

Importantly, Galaxy AI integration is central to the Flip 7 series. New tools such as photo coaching, outfit suggestions, and real-time translations (via Gemini) help users personalize their experiences further. The Flip 7 uses the Exynos 2500 chip, while the Flip 7 FE comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite and up to 512GB of storage.

Each model also includes a 50MP primary camera and a 4,300mAh battery, ensuring reliable performance throughout the day. Global sales begin on July 25, with the Flip 7 starting at AED 4,040, and the Flip 7 FE priced from AED 3,305.

Galaxy Watch 8 Series Sets a New Benchmark

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 series combines elegant design with advanced health features. The cushion-shaped squircle design and thinner profile make the Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic more refined. Additionally, the rotating bezel makes a welcome return in the Classic model.

Up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, paired with sapphire glass protection, give the Super AMOLED display both clarity and durability. Under the hood, the Exynos W1000 chip and 2GB RAM provide smooth performance. The Classic version even allows up to 64GB of storage.

Health tracking also reaches new heights. The watches offer features like sleep coaching, vascular load tracking, Running Coach, antioxidant index, and AGEs (Advanced Glycation End-products) monitoring. Meanwhile, hands-free voice control and contextual summaries are enabled through Google Gemini AI.

Connectivity includes LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and dual-band GPS. All models launch on July 25. The Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm) starts at AED 1,280, while the 44mm variant begins at AED 1,390. The Classic model is priced from AED 1,830, and the Watch 8 Ultra from AED 2,380.

Note: AED prices are approximate and may vary based on region and exchange rates.
