Samsung to Introduce Phone Rental Subscription Service for Galaxy S25 and More
Samsung is set to introduce a new way for consumers to access its flagship smartphones with the launch of a rental subscription service. Announced at CES 2025, this service will allow customers to rent the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 and other models, rather than committing to a full purchase.
The service, expected to be unveiled during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in February, follows a limited rollout in South Korea. Known as the “AI Subscription Club,” it will let users pay a monthly fee to rent smartphones and tablets, offering the option to try out devices before committing to a purchase. Though details regarding pricing and subscription tiers are still unclear, the move mirrors efforts by other tech giants like Apple and Google, who had previously explored similar hardware subscription programs.
Samsung’s new initiative comes at a time when consumers are looking for more flexibility in their tech purchases, and could reshape how users interact with mobile devices.
