Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta Supercharges Creativity and Security
The One UI 8.5 beta experience focuses on helping Galaxy users create and share content with less interruption. The upgraded Photo Assist allows continuous editing without saving each change one by one. Users can later review their full edit history and select final versions effortlessly. Moreover, sharing improvements streamline distribution as Quick Share now recognizes people in images and suggests sending photos to them directly. These upgrades encourage faster creativity while reducing repetitive steps.
Better Connectivity Across Galaxy Devices
The update includes more convenient communication between supported Samsung devices. With Audio Broadcast, users can send audio to nearby LE Audio-supported devices using Auracast. It also works with the phone’s built-in microphone, making it useful for live announcements in group settings. Storage Share helps devices work together smoothly by revealing files from connected Galaxy tablets, PCs and even TVs directly within the My Files app. Consequently, users manage and access data more easily no matter which screen they are using.
Strengthened Security and Protection
The new beta gives Galaxy users clearer visibility and stronger safeguards over personal data. Theft Protection keeps information secure if a device is lost or stolen. Failed Authentication Lock activates after too many incorrect attempts, limiting access to prevent intrusion. Additionally, identity checks now protect more critical settings, offering another shield for privacy. With these capabilities, Galaxy devices stay safer while remaining simple to use.
Availability
The One UI 8.5 beta rolls out first to Galaxy S25 series users in India, Germany, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, starting December 8. Eligible users can join through the Samsung Members app.
