The Galaxy Z TriFold has arrived, and it represents a major step forward in foldable technology. Although it folds twice, it still offers a smooth and sturdy structure. The device includes a triple rear camera system and presents a large 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X interior display. Additionally, it carries a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen that enhances daily usability.
Inside, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which uses a 3nm process for improved efficiency and power. It pairs this silicon with 16GB of RAM and offers storage options up to 1TB. As a result, the phone promises strong multitasking performance and reliable speed.
Price, Availability, and Build
The Galaxy Z TriFold will soon reach global markets, including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the US. Moreover, it will be sold in a Crafted Black finish and showcased in select offline stores, allowing customers to try it before buying. The official price will be announced in the coming days.
Regarding durability, the cover display features Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the rear panel uses Ceramic-Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer. The device also carries an IP48 rating, so it offers resistance to dust and water. Furthermore, its titanium hinge housing and advanced armour frame contribute to a stable and smooth folding motion. The brand noted that the hinge lets both screens “meet securely with a minimal gap,” which helps maintain a sleek profile.
Features and Camera System
The phone operates on Android 16 with OneUI 8, and it supports dual SIM functionality. The cover display offers a 21:9 aspect ratio, 422ppi pixel density, 2,600nits of peak brightness, up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and full DCI-P3 colour coverage. Two differently sized hinges and a dual-rail structure further improve stability, and the layout ensures the device remains slim even when folded.
For photography, the Galaxy Z TriFold includes high-end hardware. According to reports, “for optics, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold carries a triple rear camera unit, comprising a 200-megapixel (f/1.7) primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) ultrawide camera with a 102-degree field of view, and a 10-megapixel (f/2.4) telephoto camera with OIS and up to 30x digital zoom capabilities. On the cover and inner displays, the phone features two 10-megapixel (f/2.2) selfie cameras.” This setup aims to deliver versatility for both casual and advanced users.
