Samsung has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge, set for 13 May at 9 AM KST (05:30 AM IST). The device was first showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2025, and Samsung promises that this flagship will be the slimmest in its Galaxy S series lineup. Along with its sleek design, the Galaxy S25 Edge will introduce several AI capabilities, setting it apart from its predecessors.
Expected Specifications and Design
The Galaxy S25 Edge will feature an ultra-slim design, measuring just 5.85mm in thickness and weighing 163g. It is built with a premium construction, combining a titanium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back, along with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front. This makes the device both durable and stylish. It is expected to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, offering a resolution of 1440×3120 and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Powering the device will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. It will come in two storage variants: 256GB and 512GB. The smartphone is believed to house a 3,900mAh battery, supporting wireless charging and boasting an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. For added security, the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor.
Pricing and Availability
According to popular leaker Roland Quandt, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to start at €1,249 for the 256GB variant in Germany, with the 512GB version priced at €1,369. Although the pricing may vary in different regions, this places the device between the Galaxy S25 Plus and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in Samsung’s lineup. The device is anticipated to launch in three finishes: Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Icy Blue, and Titanium Silver. Shipping in Germany is expected to begin in late May if the mid-May launch date holds.
With its slim profile, premium materials, and powerful features, the Galaxy S25 Edge is poised to be one of the most exciting smartphones of the year.
