RTA launches Madinati service on WhatsApp

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has launched the Madinati service on WhatsApp, powered by the Mahboub chatbot. This new platform enables residents and visitors to report infrastructure-related issues such as damaged pavements, bus shelters, traffic signals, and other public transport facilities. By simply capturing and sending photos through WhatsApp, users can forward concerns directly to the relevant departments. As a result, the reporting process has become more efficient, with quicker response times and prompt follow-up actions.

Part of Dubai’s Smart City Vision

The initiative supports RTA’s Strategy 2024–2030, which focuses on future readiness, data-driven operations, and agile technological infrastructure. These priorities align with Dubai’s broader vision of becoming a sustainable and smart city. Consequently, the new service not only modernizes reporting but also ensures that technology plays a central role in enhancing residents’ quality of life.

Furthermore, the system encourages community involvement by allowing citizens to take an active role in maintaining urban cleanliness and safety. This empowerment strengthens civic responsibility while also contributing to Dubai’s reputation as a forward-looking city.

Encouraging Civic Participation Through Technology

RTA continues to expand its smart services, developing platforms that are simple, accessible, and scalable. With the addition of Madinati on WhatsApp, the authority has provided a tool that supports civic participation while accelerating Dubai’s digital transformation goals.
