Rolls-Royce has announced a substantial $370 million USD investment to expand its Goodwood manufacturing facility, marking the largest financial commitment to the site since its inauguration in 2003.
This expansion aims to enhance Rolls-Royce’s capacity for Bespoke and Coachbuild projects, addressing a surge in demand for highly customized luxury vehicles. The company reported a 10% year-on-year growth in Bespoke content value, achieving record-breaking results. The Goodwood facility, currently employing over 2,500 individuals, is poised for further workforce growth, with site expansion preparations already underway.
Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke division achieved a record year in 2024, delivering intricate customizations featuring premium materials such as 18-carat gold and holographic paint finishes. The Middle East led the demand for Bespoke projects, followed by North America and Europe. The Coachbuild program also unveiled the Arcadia Droptail, a continuation of the marque’s tradition of creating unique, high-value masterpieces.
The company sold 5,712 vehicles globally in 2024, its third-highest figure in history. The introduction of new models, including the Cullinan Series II, Ghost Series II, and the electric Spectre, fueled global demand. While North America remained the top sales region, emerging markets like Thailand and Malaysia demonstrated notable growth.
