US-based AI infrastructure company Positron AI has opened its first international office at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), marking a major milestone in its global expansion strategy. The move comes as demand for AI inference infrastructure continues to grow across global markets and particularly within the Middle East.

Moreover, the new DIFC presence strengthens Positron’s position in a region that is rapidly investing in artificial intelligence and advanced digital infrastructure. The company has raised more than $300 million in funding and recently achieved unicorn status as it expands its AI hardware and infrastructure business.

Focus on AI Inference Infrastructure

Positron specializes in AI inference systems that support the deployment of large language models in real-world environments. As enterprise AI adoption increases, organizations are shifting their focus from model training toward efficient and scalable inference capabilities. Consequently, demand for specialized infrastructure continues to accelerate.

The company’s Atlas server supports inference workloads for models with up to 500 billion active parameters. Additionally, the platform aims to reduce power consumption while improving memory density and lowering operational costs. Therefore, organizations can deploy AI workloads more efficiently than with traditional GPU-based systems.

Furthermore, Positron is preparing its next-generation Titan platform, scheduled for release in 2027. The new system will target larger AI workloads and deliver higher performance alongside improved energy efficiency.

Dubai Strengthens Its AI Ecosystem

The expansion aligns with Dubai’s broader ambition to become a leading global hub for artificial intelligence innovation. Meanwhile, DIFC continues attracting AI-focused companies through its growing technology ecosystem and AI Campus initiatives.
