Opera Neon Opens Public Access to AI Browser

Opera Neon AI browser interface

Opera has opened public access to its AI-focused browser, Opera Neon. Previously limited to a waitlist, the browser now allows anyone to subscribe and explore early-stage AI features. As a result, users can experiment with tools that often appear well before mainstream release. Moreover, Opera Neon combines advanced AI models with agent-based tools in a single environment. Consequently, users can automate tasks, test new capabilities, and explore features still under active development.

Built as an Agentic AI Browser

Unlike traditional browsers, Opera Neon focuses on agent-driven workflows. Instead of only loading websites, it uses AI agents to perform tasks, automate processes, and generate or modify web applications. Additionally, the browser receives frequent updates, with major improvements arriving weekly.

During its early phase, Opera refined features through close feedback loops with initial users. As a result, Neon now serves as a testing ground for rapidly evolving AI technologies before they move into Opera’s core products. Furthermore, the browser provides access to multiple AI models, including Gemini 3 Pro and GPT-5.1, within the same workspace.

Subscription, Tools, and Availability

Because Neon uses an LLM-agnostic AI engine, it integrates several AI models without requiring separate subscriptions. Therefore, users can work across tools in a unified interface. Subscribers gain access to three main agent categories. First, the AI models include Gemini 3 Pro, GPT-5.1, Veo 3.1, and Nano Banana Pro. Second, the Neon Chat, Do, and Make agents handle tasks such as trip planning, website creation, video generation, and document editing.
